Justice requires Balance
Lawyers intervene in immigration cases when they think an immigration officer's
decision might be wrong. But they only intervene when someone wants to stay in
the UK. Decisions might equally be wrong the other way, by allowing someone to
stay. But then lawyers never ever intervene. This is unjust. Justice requires
balance..... Allowing lawyers to intervene in immigration cases isn't
God-given. It's a choice by politicians; as in other countries. Until control is
back in the hands of immigration officers there should be no more legal aid for immigration. Funding our
own occupation is nonsensical.
